NEW RULES EFFECTIVE AS OF 8 JANUARY 2008
ALL RESERVATIONS WILL NOW BE MADE BY COMPUTER AT THE “FACES SCHEDULING SYSTEM” SITE: faces.ccrc.uga.edu
Note: EACH USER IS STILL REQUIRED TO MANUALLY RECORD THEIR USEAGE TIMES IN THE LOG BOOKS BESIDE EACH INSTRUMENT. These records are required by government funding agencies when grants are submitted.
Two rules common for each instrument:
BRUKER 300 MHZ
Monday through Friday
9 AM – 8 PM
30 minute reservations allowed, no consecutive reservations for the same user. Each user can make multiple reservations as long as they are not consecutive.
8PM – 9AM weekdays and weekends:
Longer reservations are allowed.
Exception: the undergraduate lab NMR TA has priority two days per week, usually on Thursday and Friday, to reserve the 300 for up to 48 hours consecutively for running lab sections through the 60-sample changer belt.
BRUKER 400 MHZ
Monday through Friday:
9 AM – 9 PM :
Time allocations are different for different parts of the day:
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM:
30 minutes time slots, no consecutive reservations for the same user. Each user can make multiple reservations as long as they are not consecutive.
3:00 PM – 9:00 PM:
1 hour time slots (if required). A user can sign up for a maximum of two consecutive time slots if necessary.
9PM – 9AM weekdays and weekends: Longer reservations are allowed.
BRUKER 500 MHZ - SPECIAL PERMISSION REQUIRED
The cryoprobe requires special training; only selected individuals are allowed to use it: see list below for approved users.
Monday through Friday:
